انگیزه‌ی اصلی این گروه دو موضوع است؛ اول، لشکرکشی نظامی در ایران که به اعتقاد آن‌ها ترامپ به وعده‌هایش عمل نکرده است؛ و دوم، پرونده‌ی جفری اپستین که ترامپ وعده‌ی انتشار کامل اسناد آن را داده بود، اما اقدامی انجام نداد؛ این دو موضوع، نقطه‌ی اتحاد این چهره‌های تندرو علیه ترامپ است.

برای درک عمق این ماجرا، باید به تاریخ نگاه کنیم؛ در دهه‌ی ۱۹۹۰، بوریس یلتسین، رئیس‌جمهور روسیه، قدرت را قطعه‌ قطعه به الیگارش‌ها سپرد و در نهایت، با چشمانی اشک‌آلود، کشور را به مردی گمنام از سازمان امنیت به نام پوتین واگذار کرد.

اکنون مسکو، ترامپ را (یلتسینِ آمریکایی) می‌نامد؛ آمارها نیز این ادعا را تأیید می‌کنند تنها چند هفته پس از آغاز دوره‌ی دوم ریاست‌جمهوری ترامپ، رتبه‌ی دموکراسی آمریکا از ۶۷ به ۵۵ سقوط کرد.

اقداماتی مانند تصفیه‌ی وزارت دادگستری، نشاندن وفاداران بر رأس FBI و ارتش، مجازات رسانه‌های منتقد و گسیل گارد ملی به لس‌آنجلس، همگی نشان‌دهنده‌ی انحلال سیستماتیک نهادهای فدرال در راستای تحکیم اقتدار شخصی ترامپ است.

آیا کارلسن پوتینِ جدید است؟ پاسخ به این پرسش نیازمند احتیاط است؛ پوتین سال‌ها در سرویس امنیتی روسیه کار کرده بود، اما کارلسن هرگز در ساختار دولتی حضور نداشته و حتی از فاکس‌نیوز نیز اخراج شده است.

او ممکن است فقط عروسکِ مباشرِ بعدی باشد و ممکن است، چنانکه ویکتور دیویس هنسون تحلیل‌گر محافظه‌کار می‌گوید، این جنبش نه ایدئولوژی روشنی داشته باشد و نه انسجام درونی، آن‌ها فقط خشم شخصی و ضداسرائیلی دارند که شاید تنها نقش خرابکاری در شکست جانشین ترامپ در ۲۰۲۸ را ایفا کند.

تاریخ نشان داده است که امپراتوری‌ها به‌ جای سقوط در میدان نبرد، انتخاب می‌کنند در آغوش رهبران نمایشی خود بمانند و این بار، صحنه‌ی این نمایش از کلبه‌ی مِین آغاز شده است.

This development echoes the fall of the Soviet Union and the rise of Putin, and serves as a warning for American democracy.

The hour is past midnight. The lights of Tucker Carlson’s wooden cabin in Maine are still on. Around a table, four people are seated: Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, Joe Kent, and Carlson himself. They all repeat one sentence: “Trump betrayed us.” This simple gathering marks the first step of a major political drama aimed at the 2028 election.

The main motivations of this group are two issues: First, the military campaign in Iran, which they believe Trump has failed to deliver on. Second, the Jeffrey Epstein file, which Trump promised to release in full but never acted upon. These two issues have become the rallying point for these hardliners against Trump.

In the 1990s, Boris Yeltsin, President of Russia, handed power piece by piece to the oligarchs, and eventually, with tearful eyes, handed the country to an obscure man from the security services a man named Putin. Yeltsin was the steward of ruin; without a plan and without foresight.

Now Moscow calls Trump the “American Yeltsin.” The statistics support this claim. Just weeks into Trump’s second term, America’s democracy ranking plummeted from 67 to 55. Actions such as purging the Department of Justice, installing loyalists atop the FBI and the military, punishing critical media outlets, and deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles all point to the systematic dismantling of federal institutions in order to consolidate personal authority.

Answering this question requires caution. Putin spent years in Russia’s security services, but Carlson has never been part of a government structure and was even fired from Fox News. He may simply be the puppet of the next steward; and perhaps, as conservative analyst Victor Davis Hanson suggests, this movement has neither a clear ideology nor internal coherence. They only have personal rage and anti-Israeli sentiment, which may merely play the role of saboteur in ensuring Trump’s successor’s defeat in 2028.

History has shown that empires, instead of falling in battle, choose to rot in the embrace of their theatrical leaders. And this time, the stage for this show has begun in the cabin of Maine. As a young researcher from Bushehr, I have written this note not to predict the future, but to document a moment unfolding before the eyes of the world. The future of the White House in 2028 may very well be decided right here, in a wooden cabin in Maine.
